- Prior to the opening of the Store, Brown will furnish, and you (if you are a corporation or partnership, a shareholder or partner you designate), 1 co-manager, and 1 part-time manager must attend and complete to Brown's satisfaction, a mandatory training program in the operation of a BROWN's Store, which training program will last approximately 8 weeks as follows:

According to the 2025 Browns Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, the mandatory training program lasts approximately 8 weeks. This training is required for the franchisee (or a designated shareholder or partner if the franchisee is a corporation or partnership), one co-manager, and one part-time manager. Browns Chicken will determine the location of the training, which will take place at one of their restaurants.
The training program includes both classroom instruction and on-the-job training. The curriculum covers various aspects of operating a Browns Chicken store. Topics include breading, customer service, food preparation and cooking, cooker operation, accounting, personnel management, catering, and troubleshooting.
Additional employees can be enrolled in the training program for a fee determined by Browns Chicken. The franchisee is responsible for covering all salary, travel, living, and other expenses associated with attending the training for both themselves and their employees. The training materials provided include charts, training videos, and situational manuals, with instruction provided by Tim Kennefick, who has over 20 years of experience operating Browns Chicken restaurants.
