Franchisee acknowledges that the operation of the Store in compliance with Brown's high standards is important to Brown and other BROWN'S Stores. Brown shall endeavor to maintain high standards of quality and service of all BROWN'S Stores operated and franchised by Brown. To this end, Franchisee agrees to comply fully with all mandatory specifications, standards, operating procedures and rules from time to time prescribed by Brown for BROWN'S Stores or the Store, including, without limitation, specifications, standards, operating procedures and rules relating to:

According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must fully comply with all mandatory specifications, standards, operating procedures, and rules that Browns Chicken prescribes for its stores. These specifications, standards, procedures, and rules relate to various aspects of the business, including but not limited to the quality and service standards that Browns Chicken aims to maintain across all franchised and company-operated locations.
The Browns Chicken Operating Manual contains both mandatory and suggested guidelines. Any item designated as "mandatory" in the Operating Manual or communicated in writing is considered part of the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees are obligated to adhere to these mandatory specifications, standards, and procedures as if they were explicitly written into the agreement itself. Browns Chicken retains the right to reasonably modify the Operating Manual to reflect changes in products, services, and operational standards, provided that these modifications do not alter the franchisee's fundamental rights under the agreement.
To ensure consistency and quality, Browns Chicken franchisees must maintain the condition and appearance of their store premises in line with Browns Chicken's standards. This includes regular maintenance and refurbishing to keep the store attractive, pleasant, and comfortable. Failure to comply with mandatory specifications, standards, operating procedures, or rules related to recipes, food quality, preparation methods, cleanliness, sanitation, or uniform policies can lead to a default under the franchise agreement if not corrected within seven days of written notice from Browns Chicken. Browns Chicken can also unilaterally waive or reduce any obligation of or restriction upon the franchisee under the agreement by written instrument.
