What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to use Third-Party Delivery Services, but with specific stipulations. Browns Chicken requires franchisees to offer customers the option of purchasing products through these services. However, franchisees must apply and sign up to participate in any Third-Party Delivery Service platform as required by Browns Chicken.
Importantly, Browns Chicken franchisees cannot utilize any Third-Party Delivery Services except through a Third-Party Delivery Service group account that Browns Chicken designates, establishes, and controls. This means that while franchisees are allowed to use services like Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, ezCater, and Postmates, they must do so through the specific accounts set up and managed by Browns Chicken.
This policy ensures that Browns Chicken maintains control over the quality and consistency of its brand's representation on these third-party platforms. It also allows Browns Chicken to potentially negotiate better rates or terms with these delivery services on behalf of all its franchisees. Franchisees should be aware of these requirements and ensure they adhere to the designated group accounts when using Third-Party Delivery Services.
