What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are obligated to cooperate fully with Browns Chicken during store inspections. Browns Chicken, or its agents, has the right to inspect the premises at any reasonable time and without prior notice to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement, specifications, standards, and operating procedures.
This inspection may include observing store operations, interviewing personnel and customers, inspecting and copying books and records, taking physical inventory, and removing product samples. The franchisee's cooperation extends to presenting evaluation forms to customers and participating in surveys conducted by or on behalf of Browns Chicken.
This requirement ensures that Browns Chicken can maintain its brand standards and protect its reputation. For a prospective franchisee, this means being prepared for unannounced inspections and maintaining organized records. Failure to cooperate could potentially lead to a breach of the franchise agreement and possible penalties.
