According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Welcome to Brown's' document, which outlines the rules and procedures, is found within the Operating Manual. Specifically, the table of contents for the Operating Manual lists 'Welcome to Brown's (Breakdown of rules, procedures)' on page 19, with an outline of the document on page 20.
The Operating Manual contains mandatory and suggested specifications, standards, and operating procedures that Browns Chicken prescribes for its stores. Browns Chicken may modify the Operating Manual periodically to reflect changes in authorized products, services, specifications, standards, and operating procedures. Franchisees must keep their copy of the Operating Manual current, and the master copies maintained by Browns Chicken at its principal office will be controlling in case of a dispute about the contents.
Prospective franchisees should note that they cannot copy any part of the Operating Manual. The FDD states that a copy of the table of contents to the Operating Manual is attached to the Franchise Disclosure Document as Exhibit H. As of January 2011, the Operating Manual consisted of 360 pages.
