What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, information regarding store opening can be found in Section 8 of the franchise agreement. Specifically, the franchisee must open their Browns Chicken store for business within 15 days after Browns Chicken determines the store is in suitable condition and after the franchisee completes their initial training.

Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to begin operations no later than 300 days from the date of the franchise agreement. Failure to open the Browns Chicken store within this timeframe constitutes a material default, potentially leading to termination of the agreement by Browns Chicken.

In addition to the store opening timeline, the franchisee is required to conduct a grand opening advertising campaign within 30 days of opening their Browns Chicken store. Upon signing the franchise agreement, the franchisee must deposit $1,000 with Browns Chicken as a Marketing Deposit. Browns Chicken will use this deposit for the grand opening and local advertising during the initial months of operation.
