Browns_Chicken Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
The Store shall at all times be under the direct, on-premises supervision of Franchisee or, if permitted by Brown, a manager designated by Franchisee who has satisfactorily completed the training program required for franchisees and managers of BROWN'S Stores. Franchisee shall keep Brown informed at all times of the identity of any employee acting as manager or co-manager of the Store. Franchisee agrees that it will at all times faithfully, honestly and diligently perform its obligations hereunder. The person who shall be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Store shall not engage in any business or other activities directly or indirectly that require substantial management responsibility or time commitments, or that otherwise may conflict with Franchisee's obligations hereunder. Franchisee or his manager shall hire all employees of the Store and shall be exclusively responsible for the terms of their employment and compensation and for the proper training of such employees. If Franchisee requests Brown to train Franchisee's manager, Franchisee shall pay Brown its then-current Manager Training Fee. Franchisee shall establish at the Store for all employees a training program meeting the standards prescribed by Brown. Franchisee shall require all employees to maintain a neat and clean appearance and to conform to the standards of dress specified by Brown from time to time. If the Store at any time is not being managed by Franchisee or a qualified, trained, full-time manager, Brown may appoint a manager for the Store and charge a reasonable management fee during the period in which Brown manages the Store.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Browns Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee's ability to operate the store depends on compliance with Browns Chicken's training requirements. The franchise agreement stipulates that the Browns Chicken store must be under the direct, on-premises supervision of the franchisee or a designated manager who has satisfactorily completed the training program required for franchisees and managers of Browns Chicken stores.
Browns Chicken requires the franchisee to keep them informed of the identity of any employee acting as manager or co-manager of the store. The franchisee is responsible for hiring and training all store employees, establishing a training program that meets Browns Chicken's standards, and ensuring employees maintain a neat appearance and conform to dress standards.
If the franchisee requests Browns Chicken to train the franchisee's manager, the franchisee must pay Browns Chicken's current Manager Training Fee. If the store is not managed by the franchisee or a qualified, trained, full-time manager, Browns Chicken may appoint a manager and charge a reasonable management fee during that period. This highlights the importance of either the franchisee or their manager completing the required training to ensure the store operates according to Browns Chicken's standards and to avoid potential intervention by Browns Chicken.
