What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Browns Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchisee is a corporation or partnership, a designated shareholder or partner, one co-manager, and one part-time manager are required to attend and complete the mandatory training program to Brown's satisfaction. This training program lasts approximately 8 weeks.
Browns Chicken may also allow additional employees to enroll in the training program, but the franchisee will be charged a fee for each additional employee. The franchisee is also responsible for covering all salary, travel, living, and other expenses incurred by themselves and their employees while attending the training programs.
The Browns Chicken training program is conducted at a Browns Chicken restaurant at a location determined by Browns Chicken. The training consists of both classroom and on-the-job training, along with any additional instruction Browns Chicken deems necessary. The training materials include charts, training videos, and situational manuals.
While Browns Chicken may assist a new franchisee in training their store employees before the store opens, they are not obligated to do so. Browns Chicken does not provide assistance in training employees for existing franchisees before the store opens. Ultimately, the franchisee is responsible for hiring and training all store employees.
