What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brightstar Care does supplement in-class training with e-learning through its BrightStar on-line training system. This e-learning supplements the hands-on instruction provided for role-specific responsibilities and system functionality. Brightstar Care also reserves the right to reduce the number of days of training at its headquarters through the use of e-learning.
Specifically, certain training subjects such as 'Pre-work: HIPAA, OSHA, ABS Knowledge Check', 'Kickoff Call', 'Welcome to Boot Camp', and 'BSC: The People, The Purpose, The Difference' can be completed at Brightstar Care's headquarters in Bannockburn, IL, at another designated location, or via e-learning. This applies to various other training modules as well.
For prospective franchisees, this means that some portions of the initial training can be completed remotely, offering flexibility and potentially reducing travel costs. However, franchisees should confirm with Brightstar Care which specific training modules can be completed via e-learning and whether there are any limitations or requirements for virtual participation.
