Can Brightstar Care modify the training programs at any time?

- Periodically revise the Operations Manual to incorporate new developments and changes in the BrightStar Care Agency Program and franchise and provide you with online access or an electronic copy of all updates (§3.2.6).
To assist you in operating your Agency, we may offer additional training programs and/or refresher courses. As of the date of this Disclosure Document, we are not able to state or estimate the location, duration, or frequency of any additional training programs and/or refresher courses as these programs and courses will depend on your needs and the needs of our other BrightStar Care franchisees.
While not currently in place, we may develop a mandatory advanced training program and require your key personnel to attend at our headquarters or another location we designate.
There are no contractual limitations on the frequency or cost of upgrades or changes in the Computer Infrastructure Package, including software we may impose. Upgrades could cost between $1,000 and $3,000 or more annually.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brightstar Care can revise the Operations Manual to incorporate new developments and changes in the BrightStar Care Agency Program and franchise, providing franchisees with online access or an electronic copy of all updates. This indicates that Brightstar Care has the ability to modify the training programs by updating the Operations Manual, which contains information on training.
Brightstar Care may also offer additional training programs and/or refresher courses. The location, duration, or frequency of these additional programs depends on the needs of the franchisee and other BrightStar Care franchisees. While not currently in place, Brightstar Care may develop a mandatory advanced training program and require key personnel to attend at their headquarters or another designated location. Franchisees may be charged a fee for this mandatory advanced training and must cover all travel and salary expenses.
Brightstar Care also reserves the right to specify different hardware and software systems in the future, including proprietary software developed for the BrightStar Care Agency Program. There are no contractual limitations on the frequency or cost of upgrades or changes in the Computer Infrastructure Package, including software they may impose. Upgrades could cost between $1,000 and $3,000 or more annually. This flexibility allows Brightstar Care to adapt its training and technology requirements as the business evolves, but it also means that franchisees must be prepared for potential additional costs and mandatory changes to systems and training programs.
