What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are three key positions within a Brightstar Care agency that require training at the company headquarters: the branch/operations manager (or director), the director of nursing (DON), and the salesperson. This training is designed to equip these individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for their specific roles.
The training for these key positions typically lasts two to four days at the Brightstar Care headquarters. Each training track includes hands-on instruction tailored to the role-specific responsibilities and system functionalities. The Brightstar Care document states that hired staff for these key positions must attend and complete their respective training tracks to the franchisor's satisfaction before the agency opens.
Brightstar Care also supplements this in-class training with e-learning through its online training system. The company retains the right to reduce the number of days required at its headquarters by utilizing e-learning modules. For franchisees who acquire a franchise for a "Small" territory, the franchisee (or their owner) is permitted to hold two of the three key positions, but not all three.
Prospective franchisees should note that Brightstar Care may develop a mandatory advanced training program in the future, which could require key personnel to attend training at the headquarters or another designated location. While not currently in place, this potential requirement highlights the importance of ongoing training and development within the Brightstar Care franchise system.
