What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, failing to maintain strict quality controls required by the Franchise Agreement or the Operations Manual is grounds for termination of the agreement. Specifically, Brightstar Care can terminate the Franchise Agreement with a 15-day cure period for "Failure to Personally Supervise Agency Operations or Employ Adequate Personnel" and for "Quality Control".

Brightstar Care requires that hired staff for key positions attend and complete the respective training tracks to the franchisor's satisfaction. If a franchisee or their owner cannot be present during business hours, they must have a branch manager/operations manager on duty who has successfully completed Brightstar Care's training program. Replacement branch managers/operations managers, Directors of Nursing (DONs), and salespersons must complete the applicable training programs to Brightstar Care's satisfaction within 90 days after they are hired.

Failure to ensure that the agency is properly supervised by trained personnel, or failure to maintain quality control standards, can lead to the termination of the franchise agreement if the issues are not resolved within the specified cure period. This underscores the importance of franchisees and their staff completing the required training programs and adhering to Brightstar Care's operational standards.
