What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not currently required to pay for the Multi-factor Authentication Security License. While Brightstar Care does not currently provide this license or charge a fee, the FDD indicates that payments will begin when the license becomes available.

For each ABS (Athena Business System) user that Brightstar Care establishes and maintains for the franchisee's agency, the franchisee will pay up to $5 per account per month for the Multi-factor Authentication Security License. This fee is subject to change with written notice. The payments will be deducted monthly from the franchisee's bank account by BrightStar Technology via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).

As the Multi-factor Authentication Security License is not currently required, prospective franchisees should confirm with Brightstar Care when this license will become available and what triggers the start of these payments. Understanding the timing and costs associated with this license will help franchisees budget and plan for future expenses.
