What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, continuing consulting services include the review of plans, equipment, and merchandise selection. These services are part of a larger performance obligation that Brightstar Care provides, which also includes intellectual property licenses and marketing services.
Brightstar Care considers these services—intellectual property licenses, marketing, and consulting—as a single, integrated performance obligation related to providing the franchise license. This means that franchisees receive ongoing support and guidance in various aspects of their business operations throughout the term of their agreement.
For a prospective Brightstar Care franchisee, this indicates that the franchise fee covers not only the initial right to operate under the Brightstar Care brand but also continuous support in key areas such as operational planning, equipment procurement, and merchandise choices. This ongoing consulting can be valuable for franchisees as they navigate the complexities of running their business and adapt to changing market conditions.
