For Brightstar Care annual franchise meetings, what subjects are addressed?
Brightstar_Care Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You (or, if you are an Entity, one of your owners) must attend all annual franchise meetings we hold to address subjects relevant to the BrightStar Care Agency Program, including recruiting and retention, service line matters, client relations, personnel administration, advertising programs, and billing control systems. We may use the annual meeting to offer continuing or advanced-level training instruction. If an annual meeting is held, we will determine its length and place and the persons who must attend. We reserve the right to charge a registration fee, and you must pay all travel expenses (transportation, hotel, meals, etc.) and related salary expenses. You must pay—for all of your required attendees—all registration fees charged for the annual meeting and all fees for the scheduled hotel accommodations, whether or not the required attendees actually attend. You will be required to attend no more than three (3) business days of each annual meeting. In addition to paying the registration fee, if you fail to attend the annual conference in person or attend online events for any reason, you must attend a two-day session at our corporate headquarters or other locations that we designate, at your sole expense and on the dates we determine, to review videos of key content that was presented. We reserve the right to hold annual franchise meetings via a virtual experience. Should we hold the annual franchise meeting via a virtual experience, you will be required to attend and must pay the registration fee regardless of your participation in the virtual annual meeting. All attendees at annual franchise meetings must remain at and participate in those meetings for their full duration.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brightstar Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the annual franchise meetings address several subjects relevant to the BrightStar Care Agency Program. These include recruiting and retention strategies, service line matters, client relations, personnel administration, advertising programs, and billing control systems.
Brightstar Care may also use the annual meeting to offer continuing or advanced-level training instruction. Franchisees (or one of their owners if the franchisee is an entity) must attend these meetings. Brightstar Care determines the length, location, and required attendees for the annual meeting.
Brightstar Care reserves the right to charge a registration fee for the annual meeting, and franchisees are responsible for all travel expenses, including transportation, hotel, meals, and related salary expenses. Franchisees must also pay all registration fees and scheduled hotel accommodation fees for all required attendees, regardless of whether they actually attend. Franchisees are required to attend no more than three business days of each annual meeting. If a franchisee fails to attend the annual conference in person or online, they must attend a two-day session at Brightstar Care's corporate headquarters or another designated location to review key content, at their own expense. Brightstar Care also reserves the right to hold annual franchise meetings virtually, and attendance and registration fees are still required regardless of participation.
