What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase specific items from company-designated suppliers under certain conditions. Specifically, franchisees must purchase and maintain a minimum inventory of program kits from Brain Balance's designated supplier. Additionally, franchisees are obligated to purchase advertising and promotional materials in electronic format (pdf or jpeg) from a vendor designated by Brain Balance.
Furthermore, Brain Balance franchisees must enroll their center in an approved Customer Relations Management System (CRM). Franchisees are also required to attend and pay for Advanced Training sessions, which may include webinars, courses, and workshops related to enrollment enhancement, sensory motor and academic administration, and marketing, up to two times per year, for a period of between one and five days. The Program Director's attendance is mandatory when this Advanced Training is offered by Brain Balance, and the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel costs of their employees and personnel.
Additionally, franchisees must attend and pay for additional training or consultation services provided by Brain Balance under specific circumstances, including if requested by the franchisee, if required by Brain Balance due to the franchisee's failure to master the principles of the Licensed Technology, if system development results in new principles or protocols, or if the franchisee replaces the Program Director. These consultation services are charged at a half-day rate of $500 or a full-day rate of $1,000, plus expenses. Failure to comply with agreements with designated suppliers can result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
