What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may incur additional training or consultation service costs under specific circumstances. If a franchisee requests additional training or consultation, Brain Balance may charge for these services. Furthermore, if a franchisee's staff fails to adequately grasp the principles and objectives of the Licensed Technology, Brain Balance may require and charge for additional training. System development that introduces new principles or protocols may also necessitate additional training at the franchisee's expense. Lastly, if a franchisee replaces their Program Director, they may need to pay for additional training or consultation services.

These consultation services are charged at a rate of $500 for a half-day (less than 4 hours of training) and $1,000 for a full-day, in addition to covering airfare, lodging, and travel expenses for the Brain Balance trainers. As an alternative to these consultation fees, a franchisee can opt to send a new Program Director to the next regularly scheduled Initial Training session, which costs $300. These fees are transferred to Brain Balance via ACH.

This policy highlights the importance of ongoing training and adherence to Brain Balance's standards. Franchisees should budget for potential additional training costs, especially if they anticipate staff turnover or if they require extra support to implement new technologies or protocols. Understanding these potential expenses is crucial for managing the financial aspects of operating a Brain Balance franchise.
