What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to attend and pay for additional training or consultation services under specific circumstances. These include instances where the franchisee requests the training, if Brain Balance determines that the franchisee has not adequately grasped the principles and objectives of the Licensed Technology, when system development introduces new principles or protocols, or when the franchisee replaces either the Center Director or Program Director. This ensures that franchisees stay updated with the latest developments and maintain a high standard of service delivery.

The cost for these consultation services is structured on a time basis. A half-day session, defined as less than 4 hours of training, is priced at $500, while a full-day session costs $1,000. These fees are in addition to covering the costs of airfare, lodging, and travel expenses for the consultant. As an alternative, franchisees can opt to send a new Center Director or Program Director to the next scheduled Initial Training session, which costs $300. All fees are to be transferred to Brain Balance via ACH.

These requirements ensure that Brain Balance franchisees maintain a consistent level of expertise and adhere to the brand's standards. The costs associated with additional training and consultation should be factored into the franchisee's financial planning. It is also important to note that while Brain Balance may require additional training under certain conditions, they also provide consultation at no charge to the franchisee when initiated by Brain Balance or when it concerns the continued implementation of the Licensed Technology requiring modifications or alterations.
