What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the FDD does not explicitly state any restrictions on the fees a Brain Balance franchisee can charge for their services. The document outlines various fees that franchisees are required to pay to the franchisor for training, consultation, and other services, but it does not mention any limitations on what a franchisee can charge customers for the Brain Balance program or related offerings.

However, the FDD does specify certain instances where franchisees must pay for additional training or consultation services. For example, franchisees are required to attend and pay for Advanced Training sessions, which can occur up to two times per year and last between one and five days. Additionally, franchisees may incur costs for training or consultation services if they request them, fail to master the Licensed Technology, experience System development resulting in new protocols, or replace a Program Director. These services are charged at a half-day rate of $500 or a full-day rate of $1,000, plus associated travel expenses.

While the FDD does not directly address pricing restrictions, it's important for prospective franchisees to discuss pricing strategies and any potential limitations with the franchisor during their due diligence. Understanding the market dynamics, competitive landscape, and the franchisor's recommendations can help franchisees set appropriate prices that are both profitable and attractive to customers. It would be prudent for a potential franchisee to ask Brain Balance directly about any formal or informal guidelines on pricing, and how the franchisor ensures consistency and value across all franchise locations.
