What is a Brain Balance® Satellite Center?
Brain_Balance Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you already own a Center and have operated it for at least one year, we may approve you to operate a satellite center concept ("Brain Balance® Satellite Center"). A satellite location can only be located within the Franchisee's existing market. Brain Balance® Satellite Centers are facilities that only deliver programming and do not handle lead intake or assessment of prospective enrolling families, post-Program assessments, or administrative functions, so they are smaller and have fewer features.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Brain Balance® Satellite Center is a smaller facility that focuses solely on delivering the Brain Balance Program®. These satellite locations differ from full Brain Balance centers because they do not handle initial lead intake, assessment of prospective families, post-program assessments, or administrative tasks.
To be eligible to open a Brain Balance® Satellite Center, a franchisee must already own and have operated a full Brain Balance Center for at least one year. Furthermore, the satellite location must be within the franchisee's existing market. This suggests that Brain Balance intends for satellite centers to serve as extensions of established, successful franchises rather than standalone operations.
The reduced scope of operations at a Brain Balance® Satellite Center, by not handling lead generation or administrative functions, likely translates to lower overhead and staffing requirements compared to a full-service center. This model allows existing franchisees to expand their service capacity within their territory without the full investment and operational complexity of a new, full-fledged center. However, the success of a satellite center is heavily dependent on the established center's ability to generate leads and manage initial client interactions.
