What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain prior written approval for local marketing and promotional materials. Specifically, if a franchisee wishes to produce their own local marketing materials, Brain Balance must preapprove all of the local marketing and promotion, including the implementation plans. To get approval, the franchisee needs to submit the proposed materials and information and implementation plans to Brain Balance's marketing department.

Brain Balance has 10 days to either approve or disapprove the submitted materials in writing. If the franchisee does not receive written approval within this timeframe, the marketing activity, material, media, and use will be deemed disapproved. Additionally, Brain Balance requires franchisees to use the national advertising materials that Brain Balance has produced.

These stipulations ensure that all marketing efforts align with the Brain Balance brand standards and messaging. It also allows Brain Balance to maintain control over the brand's image and reputation. Franchisees should factor in the time required for approval when planning their local marketing campaigns to avoid delays.
