What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brain Balance does not recommend or endorse advertising cooperatives. However, franchisees are permitted to participate in one voluntarily if they wish. Brain Balance will not govern or mediate disputes within the cooperative.
This policy means that while Brain Balance does not actively encourage or support franchisees forming advertising cooperatives, they do not prohibit it either. Franchisees who believe a co-op would benefit their local marketing efforts are free to organize one with other franchisees.
However, it is important to note that Brain Balance will not provide any assistance or oversight for these cooperatives. This hands-off approach places the full responsibility for the co-op's organization, management, and any dispute resolution on the participating franchisees. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this lack of franchisor involvement before deciding to join or form an advertising cooperative.
