The proceeds of the Advertising Fund shall be expended at the discretion of COMPANY for national and/or regional advertising, public relations, dissemination of research results achieved through approved research facilities, the Brain Balance® Foundation and other charitable activities, Web site and other electronic media development, and/or promotion of the Center businesses conducted under the Marks and publications relating to the Brain Balance Program®, and the payment of fees, costs, and other charges pertaining to such activities, including but not limited to COMPANY's administrative expenses associated with the foregoing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the advertising fund is used at the discretion of Brain Balance for several purposes. These include national and/or regional advertising and public relations efforts. The fund can also be used for disseminating research results achieved through approved research facilities.
Additionally, Brain Balance may use the advertising fund to support the Brain Balance® Foundation and other charitable activities. Website and other electronic media development, along with the promotion of the Brain Balance Center businesses conducted under the Marks, are also listed as potential uses. Funds may also be allocated to publications relating to the Brain Balance Program®.
Finally, the advertising fund can cover the payment of fees, costs, and other charges pertaining to these activities. This includes Brain Balance's administrative expenses associated with managing the fund and related marketing and promotional efforts. While franchisees contribute to this fund, Brain Balance explicitly states that the proceeds are intended to maximize general public awareness of the Brain Balance Program® for the benefit of the System as a whole, and there is no guarantee that a franchisee will directly benefit from the fund's expenditures in their specific territory.
