What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Brain Balance Franchise Disclosure Document, Brain Balance does not specify that they provide a marketing resource center to franchisees. However, Brain Balance does make available advertising and promotional materials prepared by their advertising agencies and marketing company for use by the franchisee's center.

Brain Balance requires franchisees to engage in local marketing and promotional activities, with a minimum monthly expenditure of 9% of gross revenue or $6,000, whichever is higher. Franchisees must allocate these expenditures according to Brain Balance's recommendations. Franchisees are required to use the national advertising materials that Brain Balance produces. If a franchisee wants to create their own local marketing materials, Brain Balance must preapprove them.

Brain Balance maintains the Brain Balance website and will create a microsite page for the franchisee's center. Franchisees can request edits to some text and pictures for local use and to publicize local events, but all changes must be pre-approved by Brain Balance. Brain Balance also has a National Advertising Fund where all Corporate and Franchise Centers must contribute 2% of Gross Revenue to the Advertising Fund payable on a monthly basis. In 2024, Brain Balance collected $841,893.57 for the advertising fund.
