What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brain Balance does not provide compensation for on-the-job training. However, Brain Balance requires that staff be paid for the hours spent completing certification training for both the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Services (IBCCES) and Mindset Behavior Training.
Initial training is provided to franchisees and their employees at no cost from Brain Balance. The franchisee is responsible for the costs of transportation, living, and other incidental expenses incurred to attend the training, along with any wages or other expenses of employees who attend the training.
Franchisees must ensure their staff completes certification training and are paid for their time spent in training. This is a common practice, as employers generally compensate employees for mandatory training time. However, Brain Balance franchisees themselves will not receive compensation for their own time spent in on-the-job training.
