How long does Brain Balance have to approve or disapprove a proposed site?

According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Brain Balance will review and either approve or disapprove a proposed site for a new center within 20 days. This 20-day period starts from the date the franchisee provides Brain Balance with all the required information about the proposed location.

Site selection is a critical step for franchisees. Brain Balance considers factors such as traffic patterns, demographics, available parking, and overall safety when evaluating a potential location. The ideal location is in a safe area with adequate lighting and parking, situated near a highly visible area close to a major roadway, with parking to accommodate at least 15 cars. Franchisees are not allowed to share their Brain Balance Center space with any other business.

This approval timeframe is important for prospective franchisees as it sets expectations for how quickly they can move forward with securing a location and signing a lease. Franchisees must sign the lease for their Brain Balance Center within 120 days of signing the Franchise Agreement and open the Center within nine months of the Franchise Agreement date. If a franchisee decides to move locations during the term of their franchise agreement, the same site selection and approval requirements apply. This ensures that any new location meets Brain Balance's standards and criteria for success.
