What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Brain Balance Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial term of the franchise agreement is 10 years. If a franchisee wishes to renew their franchise agreement, Brain Balance allows for one additional term of 5 years.
To renew the franchise agreement with Brain Balance, the franchisee must provide written notice to Brain Balance at least 3 months, but not more than 6 months, before the expiration of the current term.
Additionally, the franchisee must execute the current form of the Franchise Agreement and pay a renewal fee of $10,000. The FDD states that the renewal agreement may contain materially different terms and conditions than the original agreement, and the franchisee must be re-approved by Brain Balance.
