What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Brain Balance Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must maintain a full-time staff consisting of a Center Director, a Program Director, and an appropriate number of Program Coaches. The Program Coaches can be part-time, depending on the service demands. Additionally, if the franchisee chooses not to use a contracted call center, they must employ a full-time employee dedicated solely to handling inbound inquiries about Brain Balance's program services.

Even if the Brain Balance franchisee does not work in one of the specified positions themselves, they are still responsible for ensuring that appropriately trained individuals are hired to fill each role. This highlights the importance of staffing and training, regardless of the franchisee's direct involvement in daily operations.

Furthermore, Brain Balance requires that any new Center Director or Program Director attend the next regularly scheduled Initial Training session. The franchisee will incur a $300 charge for this training. This requirement ensures that key personnel are properly trained in the Brain Balance method, even if the franchisee is not directly managing the center's operations.

These staffing and training requirements are designed to maintain the quality and consistency of the Brain Balance program across all franchise locations, regardless of the franchisee's level of direct involvement. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor these personnel costs and training obligations into their business plan.
