If I develop a new idea related to Brain Balance's business, who does it belong to?

According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any new idea, invention, improvement, or copyrightable work that a franchisee creates or helps develop while employed by Brain Balance belongs to Brain Balance if it relates to Brain Balance's business.

Moreover, if any such development or creation occurs during the franchisee's employment or up to one year after they leave Brain Balance, the franchisee is obligated to promptly disclose and explain it. They must also assign all rights they may have in it to Brain Balance without receiving additional compensation.
