What functions are NOT handled by Brain Balance® Satellite Centers?

If you already own a Center and have operated it for at least one year, we may approve you to operate a satellite center concept ("Brain Balance® Satellite Center"). A satellite location can only be located within the Franchisee's existing market. Brain Balance® Satellite Centers are facilities that only deliver programming and do not handle lead intake or assessment of prospective enrolling families, post-Program assessments, or administrative functions, so they are smaller and have fewer features.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Satellite Centers have a more limited scope than full Brain Balance centers. Specifically, Brain Balance Satellite Centers focus solely on delivering the Brain Balance program.
These satellite locations do not handle several key functions that are typically part of a full Brain Balance center's operations. These include lead intake, which is the process of gathering information from potential new clients, and assessment of prospective enrolling families to determine if the Brain Balance program is a good fit for their needs.
Additionally, Brain Balance Satellite Centers do not conduct post-program assessments to measure the effectiveness of the program and track student progress. They also do not handle administrative functions, which likely include tasks such as scheduling, billing, and managing client records. Because of these limitations in scope, Brain Balance Satellite Centers are smaller and have fewer features than full Brain Balance centers.
