What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Note 6 in Item 7 provides information regarding insurance requirements. Brain Balance estimates that the average first year's premium for insurance coverage, calculated by their designated insurance brokers, includes Commercial general liability and Professional Liability coverage, with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 in the aggregate for education services.
The required insurance also includes commercial automobile liability insurance covering vehicles owned, non-owned, or hired by the Franchised Business, providing bodily injury and property damage coverage. Additionally, franchisees may need to obtain Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), as well as workers compensation and disability insurance, if required by law.
Item 7 also refers to Item 8 of the FDD for additional information regarding insurance. Prospective franchisees should carefully review both Item 7 and Item 8 to fully understand the insurance obligations and estimated costs associated with operating a Brain Balance franchise.
