What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Brain Balance's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee needs the company's prior written consent to relocate their center. Specifically, the franchisee is granted the exclusive right to establish a single location within their designated territory, but they cannot relocate or open additional centers without Brain Balance's approval. This requirement ensures that any relocation aligns with Brain Balance's strategic objectives and maintains brand consistency.
This provision in the franchise agreement protects Brain Balance's brand and market strategy. By controlling the location of each franchise, Brain Balance can manage market saturation, optimize geographic coverage, and ensure that each center operates in an area that meets the company's demographic and market criteria. This oversight helps maintain a consistent brand image and service quality across all locations.
For a prospective Brain Balance franchisee, this means that relocating a center is not a unilateral decision. It requires careful planning and communication with Brain Balance to secure their written consent. This process may involve submitting a detailed proposal outlining the reasons for the relocation, the potential benefits, and the impact on the existing territory. Franchisees should factor in this approval process when considering a move, as delays or denials could affect their business operations.
