What is the total number of hours of training, both classroom and on-the-job, that a Boulder Designs franchisee receives?

According to Boulder Designs's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the total training time for franchisees consists of 18.75 hours of classroom training and 20.75 hours of on-the-job training. This initial training is in person and is approximately five business days.

The Boulder Designs initial training program covers material aspects of operating the business, including culture, job site field tours, technical and procedural training, and sales training. The training takes place at Boulder Designs' headquarters in Waco, TX, or at another designated location.

The FDD also mentions re-boot training, which is approximately three business days. Franchisees may be charged a $2,500 fee for the Re-Boot training program if they request additional on-site training, have received customer complaints, or the quality of their work is not up to Boulder Designs' standards. Franchisees are responsible for all costs for them and their employees to attend this training. Additionally, Boulder Designs may require experienced Internal Managers, other managers, and/or employees to attend refresher-training programs at their expense, not exceeding two programs or five days in any calendar year, excluding the annual convention.
