Boulder_Designs Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Franchisee is not prohibited from soliciting or hiring other BOULDER DESIGN franchisee's employees. If Franchisee employs another BOULDER DESIGN franchisee's employee who has attended Franchisor's training within 12 months of the hire date with Franchisee, Franchisee shall pay to the other franchisee the then-current training fee of Franchisor plus the other franchisee's actual costs for sending its employee to training, including but not limited to travel costs, lodging, wages, and food.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no restriction on the number of employees a franchisee can hire from another Boulder Designs franchise. However, if a franchisee hires an employee from another franchisee who has attended Boulder Designs' training within 12 months of being hired, the hiring franchisee must reimburse the former franchisee for the training fee and associated costs.
Specifically, the hiring franchisee is responsible for paying the other franchisee the then-current training fee of Boulder Designs, in addition to the actual costs incurred by the other franchisee for sending the employee to training. These costs include, but are not limited to, travel, lodging, wages, and food expenses.
This policy encourages franchisees to invest in employee training while also allowing for employee mobility within the Boulder Designs franchise system. It ensures that franchisees who have invested in training their employees are compensated if those employees are hired by another franchisee shortly after completing the training program. This can help maintain a consistent level of quality and service across all Boulder Designs locations.
