What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Boulder Designs retains the right to terminate or change the terms of the National Headstone Program. This can be done at their sole discretion, but Boulder Designs must provide written notice to the franchisee, which may be in the form of an electronic communication.

This provision grants Boulder Designs significant flexibility in managing the National Headstone Program. For a franchisee, this means that the terms and conditions of their participation in the program, including compensation, required standards, and project allocation, could change or the program could be discontinued entirely.

While Boulder Designs must provide written notice of any changes or termination, the franchisee has limited recourse to challenge these decisions. Therefore, prospective franchisees should carefully consider the potential impact of these changes on their business and revenue projections. It would be prudent to discuss the history of the National Headstone Program with existing franchisees to understand how it has evolved and how changes have been communicated and implemented in the past.
