What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, initial training may be provided by several named individuals, each with varying years of experience in the franchise industry. These individuals include Frank J. Butch" Mogavero, with over 36 years of experience, Seth Mogavero, with over seven years of experience, Les Sander, with over 21 years of experience, Greg Jurls, with over 16 years of experience, and Teresa Paton, who has been training for approximately 1 year. All these individuals have been with Boulder Designs for at least two years, with most having been with the company for over five years.
In addition to these specific individuals, training may also be conducted by other members of Boulder Designs' or its affiliates' current staff, provided they have a minimum of one year of experience in the industry or their respective field of training. The FDD also states that substitute trainers may be used if circumstances require, and Boulder Designs reserves the right to name additional trainers periodically.
Boulder Designs also retains the option to use a franchisee's location as a training facility. In such cases, instead of monetary payment, the franchisee will have the option to enroll their employees or internal managers into the training class being taught by Boulder Designs free of all charges, which will be considered full payment for the use of their facilities. This arrangement could be beneficial for franchisees who want to further train their staff while also offsetting the cost of using their location for training purposes.
