What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to participate in the National Headstone Program, which is a National Account managed by Boulder Designs. As part of this program, Boulder Designs collects a deposit for each project. This Project Deposit is based on the template and materials selected by the customer and can vary depending on the total cost of the project.

Upon receiving the Project Deposit, Boulder Designs will provide the franchisee with a design proof, if available, along with the customer's information. Once the franchisee accepts the project and completes it, they are entitled to the remaining balance. Boulder Designs retains the Project Deposit as revenue generated from the lead and sale, whether the project is inside or outside the franchisee's territory.

It's important to note that Boulder Designs reserves the right to assign the National Headstone Program project to another franchisee or a qualified third party if they believe the original franchisee is unable to service the customer or if the service volume exceeds the franchisee's capacity. In such cases, the original franchisee will not be compensated for the services provided by others within their territory. This aspect of the National Headstone Program highlights the importance of assessing one's capacity and capabilities before committing to projects under this program.
