What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Boulder Designs's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor will conduct inspections in a manner that minimizes interference with the operations of the Boulder Designs business. This means that while Boulder Designs retains the right to inspect a franchisee's location or office during normal business hours with reasonable notice, the inspections should be carried out in a way that causes as little disruption as possible.
During these inspections, the franchisee is expected to fully cooperate with Boulder Designs and its representatives. This includes providing assistance as reasonably requested, allowing observation of sales and service processes, monitoring sales volume, conducting physical inventory, conferring with employees and customers, and providing product samples for inspection and record keeping. Boulder Designs may also contact suppliers to obtain information about the franchisee's purchases and account status.
Boulder Designs also has the right to videotape the inspections. If any deficiencies are found during the inspection, the franchisee is required to take immediate corrective action upon notice from Boulder Designs, including ceasing the use of any non-conforming equipment, advertising, materials, products, supplies, or other items. Failure to correct these deficiencies gives Boulder Designs the right to enter the franchisee's location to make the necessary corrections at the franchisee's expense.
