What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for finalizing the product design for the customer and submitting it to Boulder Designs. This is a critical step, as failure to submit the finalized design is considered a default of the Franchise Agreement.
In practical terms, this means that after gathering information from the customer, the franchisee must create a final design that meets the customer's needs and adheres to Boulder Designs' standards. This design must then be formally submitted to the franchisor for their records and potential review.
This requirement ensures that all Boulder Designs products meet a consistent standard of quality and design, protecting the brand's reputation. It also allows the franchisor to maintain oversight of the creative process and ensure compliance with their established operational systems, procedures, policies, methods, and requirements.
Prospective franchisees should understand the importance of this design submission process and ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to create and finalize designs effectively. They should also clarify with Boulder Designs the specific format and method for submitting these designs to avoid any potential defaults of the Franchise Agreement.
