What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Boulder Designs Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee is obligated to take specific actions regarding telephone listings and numbers. The franchisee retains the right to use the telephone listings and numbers only while the Franchise Agreement is in effect. Upon termination or expiration, this right ends, and the franchisee must immediately stop using all listings and numbers.
At Boulder Designs' request, the franchisee must sign all documents, pay all monies, and take all other actions necessary to transfer the listings and numbers to Boulder Designs. This ensures that Boulder Designs maintains control over the telephone listings and numbers associated with the franchise, preventing potential confusion or misuse by the former franchisee.
This requirement is fairly standard in franchising, as it protects the brand's identity and customer relationships. By ensuring that telephone listings and numbers are transferred back to Boulder Designs, the company can maintain a consistent presence and prevent former franchisees from diverting customers or misrepresenting their affiliation with the brand.
