What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Boulder Designs retains significant exclusive rights regarding advertising and the use of its Marks on the Internet. This includes the use of websites, domain names, uniform resource locators, linking, search engines (and search engine optimization techniques), banner ads, video, video-streaming, digital signage, audio, meta-tags, marketing, auction sites, e-commerce, and co-branding arrangements. Boulder Designs also maintains an Internet website at www.boulderdesigns.net, providing information about the system and services offered by Boulder Designs, its affiliates, and its franchisees.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that while you may be requested to provide content for Boulder Designs' Internet marketing and must adhere to their intranet and Internet usage rules, you do not have the freedom to independently manage or control the brand's online presence. You are required to obtain prior written consent from Boulder Designs before establishing any presence or marketing efforts on the Internet related to the franchised business.

This centralized control allows Boulder Designs to maintain brand consistency and manage the overall online strategy. However, it also means franchisees have limited autonomy in their digital marketing efforts and must rely on the franchisor's strategies and approvals. Furthermore, franchisees cannot use domain names or URLs containing the Boulder Designs mark or variations without prior written approval, ensuring that the franchisor maintains control over its brand identity online.
