You must offer the services, and products we specify periodically in strict accordance with our standards and specifications. We also have the right to limit the type or size of boulder products that you are permitted to offer (e.g., you may not sell boulder products exceeding a certain weight or dimension), and/or to condition your right to offer certain types or sizes of products on your compliance with our then-current guidelines and/or agreement to pay additional administrative or assistance fees. Currently, we authorize you to offer and sell boulders up to 5,000 lbs. with dimensions not to exceed 60 inches by 72 inches. We may authorize the offer and sale of larger boulders, conditioned on your completion of certifications and training, payment of additional administrative and assistance fees, your execution of additional documentation.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are currently authorized to sell boulders weighing up to 5,000 lbs, with maximum dimensions of 60 inches by 72 inches. However, Boulder Designs retains the right to modify the specifications and standards of products that franchisees are permitted to offer.
Boulder Designs also has the right to limit the type or size of boulder products that a franchisee is permitted to offer. This means that Boulder Designs can change the maximum weight or dimensions at any time. Additionally, Boulder Designs can condition the right to offer certain types or sizes of products on a franchisee's compliance with current guidelines or agreement to pay additional fees.
Franchisees may be authorized to offer and sell larger boulders if they complete certifications and training, pay additional administrative and assistance fees, and execute additional documentation. This indicates that there is a pathway to selling larger boulders, but it requires additional investment and compliance on the part of the franchisee. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific requirements and costs associated with obtaining authorization to sell larger boulders.
