What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Boulder Designs' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the certification process for a franchisee to participate in the National Headstone Program is based on the franchisee's ability to construct various models of headstones, benches, and related accessories. These products are offered to customers through the National Headstone Program website. Boulder Designs, in its sole discretion, determines if a franchisee is qualified for each project generated under this program.
This means that to be eligible for National Headstone Program projects, a Boulder Designs franchisee must demonstrate the capability to produce a range of headstone and related products. The franchisor assesses this capability to ensure quality and consistency across the national program. This requirement aims to maintain standards and meet customer expectations for the headstone products.
If a franchisee is deemed unqualified or refuses a project, Boulder Designs retains the right to assign the project to another franchisee or a qualified third party. The original franchisee will not receive any compensation for projects completed by others within their territory under these circumstances. This highlights the importance of franchisees maintaining the required capabilities and availability to handle National Headstone Program projects to avoid losing potential revenue.
