What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bor Restoration's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to have a Business Vehicle that meets specific criteria. The vehicle must be a late-model truck, such as a one-quarter-ton pickup or equivalent, or a fourteen-foot enclosed box truck. Alternatively, a franchisee can use a fourteen-foot enclosed trailer. The Business Vehicle can be purchased or leased from any source, and it may be used, but it cannot be more than ten years old based on the model year at the time of signing the Franchise Agreement.

The Business Vehicle must be free from body damage and rust and must be bright white. While the make and model are flexible, the vehicle must be wrapped with Bor Restoration's approved package, which costs at least $1,000 and must be purchased from an approved vendor. The FDD also specifies an estimated initial investment range for the Business Vehicle and wrap, from $1,000 to $35,000, with additional costs for tax, title, and license, estimated between $0 and $1,500, and insurance, estimated between $500 and $1,000.

Prospective franchisees should consider these requirements when budgeting for their initial investment. The age and condition of the vehicle, along with local taxes and insurance rates, can significantly impact the final cost. It is also important to factor in the cost of the mandatory vehicle wrap from Bor Restoration's approved vendor. Franchisees may already own a suitable vehicle, which could reduce the initial investment, but it must still meet all the specified criteria.
