What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bor Restoration's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to operate under the Bor Restoration System. The FDD defines the 'System' as Bor Restoration's proprietary, confidential, and trade secret information. This includes trademarks, service marks, logos, training methods, operations manuals, standards, procedures, copyrighted material, and confidential information.

This requirement means that a Bor Restoration franchisee must adhere to the specific guidelines and methods established by the franchisor for running the business. This encompasses everything from how services are delivered to clients to the use of approved marketing materials and operational procedures. The franchisee's right to operate in their exclusive territory, client information, and the right to provide services are also considered the franchisor's exclusive property.

Adhering to the Bor Restoration System ensures consistency across all franchise locations and helps maintain the brand's reputation. While this provides a structured framework for franchisees, it also means they have limited autonomy in how they operate their business. Franchisees must follow the franchisor's established methods and standards, which may impact their ability to implement their own ideas or strategies.

Prospective Bor Restoration franchisees should carefully review the operations manuals and training materials to fully understand the requirements of the Bor Restoration System. It is important to assess whether they are comfortable operating within the franchisor's established framework before investing in the franchise.
