What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bor Restoration's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase the wrap needed for their Business Vehicle from Bor Restoration's approved vendor. However, the franchisee is allowed to use any reputable installer to apply the wrap to the vehicle.
This requirement ensures that all Bor Restoration vehicles maintain a consistent brand image and meet the franchisor's standards. While franchisees have some flexibility in choosing an installer, they are restricted to purchasing the wrap itself from the approved vendor. This allows Bor Restoration to control the quality and appearance of the vehicle wraps, which are a visible representation of the brand.
It is common in franchising for franchisors to mandate specific suppliers for branded items like vehicle wraps to maintain uniformity and quality control across all franchise locations. Franchisees should confirm who the approved vendor is and what the costs associated with the vehicle wrap are. This information can help a prospective franchisee understand the initial investment and ongoing operational expenses related to vehicle branding.
