What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bor Restoration's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee must purchase the vehicle wrap from Bor Restoration's approved vendor. The cost of the vehicle wrap is at least $1,000. This is part of the larger investment in the business vehicle, which the FDD estimates to range from $1,000 to $35,000, including the wrap.

The FDD specifies that the franchisee may purchase or lease the business vehicle from any source, provided it meets certain requirements such as being a late-model truck or enclosed trailer, no older than ten years, free from body damage and rust, and bright white. However, the vehicle wrap itself must be obtained from Bor Restoration's approved vendor to ensure brand consistency.

This requirement is fairly common in franchising, as franchisors typically want to maintain a uniform brand image across all franchise locations. By mandating the use of an approved vendor for the vehicle wrap, Bor Restoration can control the quality and appearance of the branding on the franchisee's vehicle. A prospective franchisee should confirm who the approved vendor is and what factors could cause the cost of the wrap to exceed $1,000.
