Answer from 2024 FDD Document

We may communicate our standards, specifications, and purchase requirements directly to suppliers who wish to supply your goods or Services. We will communicate our standards and specifications to you during training, before you open, during periodic visits to your Business, and through the Franchisee Manuals and periodic bulletins. We may issue new standards and specifications through written notices. Once you are notified, you must make the specified change.

We have the right, in our sole discretion, to vary required purchases, standards, or specifications based upon a franchisee's qualifications, special circumstances, the demographics of a particular territory (Item 12), business potential, or any other condition which we deem to be of importance to the successful operation of any particular Business. We may also modify any specification as to any good, service, supply, fixture, equipment, inventory, computer hardware, software supplier, or the like at any time and on a local, regional, or national basis. We will not be required to disclose or grant you a similar variance. We may change approved vendors at any time.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bor Restoration's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company will communicate its standards and specifications to franchisees through several channels. These include training sessions, both before the franchise opens and during periodic visits to the franchisee's business. Bor Restoration also utilizes Franchisee Manuals and periodic bulletins to disseminate information. Furthermore, the company may issue new standards and specifications through written notices, which franchisees must implement once notified.

This multi-faceted approach to communication ensures that Bor Restoration franchisees stay informed about the standards and specifications necessary to operate under the Bor Restoration system. By using a combination of in-person training, written manuals, and ongoing updates, Bor Restoration aims to keep franchisees aligned with the company's operational requirements and service delivery standards. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as consistent brand standards are critical to maintaining customer trust and the overall reputation of the franchise system.

The FDD also states that Bor Restoration retains the right to modify required purchases, standards, or specifications based on a franchisee's qualifications, special circumstances, the demographics of their territory, business potential, or any other condition deemed important. Bor Restoration can also modify specifications for goods, services, supplies, fixtures, equipment, inventory, computer hardware, software suppliers, or similar items at any time on a local, regional, or national basis. However, Bor Restoration is not required to disclose or grant similar variances to all franchisees, and they may change approved vendors at any time. This flexibility allows Bor Restoration to adapt to changing market conditions and individual franchisee needs, but it also means that franchisees must be prepared to adapt to changes in standards and specifications as directed by the company.
