Where is the Bonchon Restaurant Location and Protected Territory designated?

According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the specific location of the Bonchon Restaurant (the "Restaurant Location") and its corresponding protected territory (the "Protected Territory") will be formally designated in Exhibit A of the Franchise Agreement. This exhibit serves as the official record defining the geographic boundaries within which the franchisee is authorized to operate and benefit from a degree of territorial protection.

For prospective Bonchon franchisees, this means the details of their operating area are not determined until the Franchise Agreement is finalized. The Protected Territory, except in high-density population centers, is generally defined as a circle centered on the Restaurant Location, with the radius extending outward. While there is no set minimum or maximum size, Bonchon anticipates that the radius will typically range between 0.25 miles and 3 miles, although Remote Kitchen Restaurants have a Protected Territory of no greater than a one-tenth (0.1) mile radius from the Bonchon Business. The actual size depends on factors such as population density and drive times within the market area.

It's important to note that Bonchon does not grant exclusive territories. Franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other distribution channels controlled by Bonchon. Furthermore, Bonchon retains the right to operate Bonchon Businesses or authorize others to do so at any location, including those near the franchisee's Protected Territory.
