What are the required actions I must take to verify that my site complies with Bonchon's site selection criteria?
Bonchon Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We will provide you with site selection criteria and a site evaluation form. You must verify to us that your site complies with our site selection criteria. You will be required to utilize a Bonchon approved real estate broker, submit maps, completed checklists, photographs, copies of proposed leases, diagrams of the premises with measurements and other information and materials which we may reasonably require to evaluate your proposed Restaurant Location. We do not warrant or guarantee that your Restaurant will be successful at any Restaurant Location that we approve. Our approval only means that the Restaurant Location has met our minimum requirements for a Bonchon Restaurant.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bonchon's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a prospective franchisee, you must verify that your chosen site meets Bonchon's specific site selection criteria. Bonchon will provide you with these criteria along with a site evaluation form to guide your assessment.
To demonstrate compliance, you are required to take several actions. First, you must engage a Bonchon-approved real estate broker to assist in the site selection process. Then, you need to submit various documents and materials to Bonchon for their review. These include maps of the area, completed checklists, photographs of the site, copies of proposed leases, and detailed diagrams of the premises with accurate measurements. Additionally, you must provide any other information or materials that Bonchon may reasonably request to properly evaluate your proposed restaurant location.
It's important to note that Bonchon's approval of a site does not guarantee the success of your restaurant. Their approval simply indicates that the location has met the minimum requirements set by Bonchon. Therefore, while Bonchon provides site selection criteria and evaluates your proposed location, the ultimate responsibility for the restaurant's success lies with you, the franchisee. Bonchon also offers a Bonchon Accelerated Architectural Services Program (BAASP) to qualified franchisees to help streamline the construction process.
